Tree Work That Fits Your Property and Your Plans

No two properties are the same, and no two tree jobs are identical. Pine & Ponder evaluates each site in person before recommending an approach. From tight urban lots to larger rural properties, our crew is equipped for controlled removals, structural and ornamental pruning, view clearance, and more. Skyler performs much of the climbing himself, so the work stays consistent and communication stays direct from start to finish.

About Pine & Ponder

A Bainbridge Island Tree Company Built on Hands-On Experience

Skyler Smith founded Pine & Ponder Tree Service in 2024, but his path to tree work started years earlier. After a decade cooking fine-dining kitchens, Skyler transitioned into tree work in 2020, learning how to climb and run ground-crew operations with an established tree service. In 2021 he enrolled at the University of Washington where he pursued a biology degree with a focus on plant and animal physiology. He launched Pine & Ponder Tree Service while completing his degree in 2024. Skyler’s background shapes how he runs the business with a focus on clear communication, safe work practices, and attention to detail. He was raised on Bainbridge Island and is proud to serve the community he grew up in.
